Lust Have It - November Bag

LUST HAVE IT!!!

This is really really really late, and I am so sorry for that.

I would like to thank NZ's crappy Decemeber for providing me with only the last couple of days of sunlight worthy of photos, and my camera for dying so I've had to use my cellphone.

We don't get sent Nov's box till around the 10th of Dec, so yea, I delayed this a LOT.

On with the box!

I was super smart this time and took a photo of the actual card.  We all know how awesome I am at losing these cards before I blog the products.

First up!

So Susan Luminiser
Full Size: $35

It's really shimmery and would look great for a nightime summer look!

Naturalus Paw Paw Pure Gel
Full Size: $6.15

I've used Paw Paw ointment before for cuts and scrapes, so it seems logical to use the magical healing properties for an after-sun gel.

Even better: Keep it in the fridge for when you get back from the beach.

Aveda Color Conserve Daily Protect
Full Size: $49.95 (100ml).  Sample: $4.99 (10ml).

Its a leave-in treatment for coloured hair.  I don't have coloured hair at the moment so I'll keep it for when I get my highlights redone.

Essenzza Face Masks
Full Size: $4.95 x 2

I used one of them because they say they're meant to be "fuss free".
I found them to be a little fussy - The layers just didn't want to peel, and the silk layer was a pain to try to stick to my face.
Other than that, they smell good and feel good on.

The Cosmetic Kitchen Pressed Mineral Blush in Sherbert
Full Size: $34.95

This seemed more like another highlighter than a blush.  It was sheer and shimmery, and had not as much of a payoff as I was expecting.

The colour in the pan didn't really translate to the skin.

This is probably the one thing that annoys me a little... Its very well and good to include a flyer saying "win free stuff", but if you're not actually getting the products until December, the "entries close 5th Nov" is really just silly.  Even if I wanted to enter, there is no way I would be considered, because on the 5th November I was still waiting for the October box.

Anyway, this was a pretty good bag.

Total cost of the bag:  $19.99 AU.  Total Value: $90.99

Pretty damn good value.  The highlighter and blush make up the majority of that value, and the face masks and pawpaw are good to have around.

******  DISCLAIMER.....******
Still waiting on my affiliate code, but you should totally buy this box.  These opinions are my own, and sometimes the voices in my head contribute.  I get this for free to review, and I would really appreciate it if people shared the love and purchased a bag from them.  They don't just do womens boxes!  They do other ones too that may be more appealing.

Lust Have It! October bag

It's that time of the month again!

No, not THAT time...

... Lust Have It time!

Todays box is an organic/cruelty free box.  It has a full face of makeup in it (excluding foundation etc) so you could open it, use the products and head out for the night, then come home, use the rest of the box and have a great sleep.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse
Multipurpose dry oil.
Full Size: $24.95 / 50ml, $39.95 / 100ml.  Sample: $3.95 (10ml)

I don't know what they mean by dry oil, but it seems wet...  Maybe it just absorbs quickly?
I'll tell you what though, it smells sooooo good.  It contains 6 plant oils: Macadamia, Hazelnut, Borage, Sweet Almond, Camellia and St Johns Wort.

Colour by TBN - A kiss is still a kiss.
Full Size: $3.50

This colour is interesting. It reads a brown/reddish shade on the stick, and the cap is a darker tone than the actual colour.

But the swatches are more... pinky/orange tan.

I would of loved for the colour to be more like the cap colour and less like a pale skin tone.

So Susan Intense Eye Shadow
Full Size: $35.  (But I checked the website to see if there was a name for the palette or the colours, and found that it was on clearance for $29.96 , so if you really want it, get it cheaper from the website before it sells out!)

They only have the one colour option.  It has gorgeous payoff.  The colours are smooth and silky, and I could see myself wearing these.  I'm loving that dark purple/blue/grey in the lower left corner.

Inika Black Khol Pencil
Full Size: $29

It reminds me a lot of the Eye Of Horus packaging - gold and black and slightly Egyptian text.

A nice liner.  It's smoother than a typical black pencil liner.  Very similar feel to the LA Colour Gel liners.  It is pretty gorgeous though.

Glamourflage Awesome Eva Eyemask
$7.95

How gorgeous!  I've got a tonne of eye masks (the seem to be the "bonus" gift from a lot of sample/subscription boxes) but I never use them.  I always keep them in case I'm gonna go travelling somewhere and want to sleep on the trip.

The description is hilarious.

Perfect for a nap in a hammock.  Modelled by my lovely sister.

Montagne Jeunesse Clay Mask
Full size: $4.99

These are pretty popular.  I think I have, from memory, 8 of these just sitting around waiting for me to use them.

This one has a fabric liner made from bamboo so that it apparently is "mess free".  It's meant to take around 10 mins to do its magic.

My suggestion:  Get a hair mask, a foot soak and this going at the same time.  Jump in the shower to cleanse your face and shampoo your hair first, jump out, wrap yourself in a snuggly robe, put your feet in a foot soak (also available from these guys), stick a moisturising hair treatment in your hair and apply this to your face.  10 mins later, jump back in the shower and rinse off.  You'll feel so much better for it.

So that was my Lust Have It box for this month.
They're $19.99 from the website, and the value of the products far outweighs the cost of the box.
Total value this month: $84.39.

Thanks Lust Have It.

Tis the Season for Julep

The colours for this season are a really stunning range of dusty pastels and dark tones.

In honor of this, I’ve done a very simple but very elegant mani based on the nail polish colors picked by Julep.

I started with a base of Jordana Garlic Growth, then painted half the nail with a base colour.  The blue is Maybelline Party Blue (Kiki) and the pink is Sinful Colours Heartfelt (Shari).

On top of this, I did a chevron of Color Club Miss Bliss (Shari) and Over The Moon (Kiki).

The last polish is Maybelline Charming Cobalt (Isla), a deep dark shade.

To top it off, I attached pearls with a fast-dry top coat.

Julep doesn't yet ship to NZ, but when they do, I'm for sure going to grab some of their awesome colours!

Winterise your nails with Julep

I have a special post today!

It's coming into summer here, but these tips are totally still relevant.  Even moreso with winter turning into spring, everyone needs to take a moment to condition and repair their hands.

Because Julep doesn't ship internationally yet, you can swap the cuticle remover for Manicare Cuticle Remover, the Oxygen Nail Treatment for Manicare Intensive Nail Hardener and the Mighty Nail & Cuticle Serum for Manicare Cuticle Oil

Once you've taken the steps to make your nails gorgeous, you need a winter themed mani!

Galaxy nails the easy way

Galaxy nails are so easy to do when your polish is pre-blended to look like a starry sky.

On my accents (thumb and ring finger) is The Polished Kiwi's Galaxy.  It's an almost foil-like silver toned polish with a tonne of multicoloured flakies.  It does the multichrome thing in the light, and it just looks so awesome.

On the rest of the nails is one of mine.  OlliePop & Luci's Night Fishing.  This is the trial version of it, and it has glow in the dark glitter, holo stars, glow in the dark stars, white stars, glow moons, rainbow hexes and a tonne of micro rainbow glitter and smattering of duochromatic flakie, along with a holo finish.

Because the glitters are quite big and heavy, you actually DO have to do some fishing to get the larger shapes on the nail.  But never fear!  You'll get the smaller glow glitter on every nail, so your fingers look like tiny constellations in the dark.

The reformulated version has MORE glitter and less pigment.  It's still opaque in two coats, but the effect is so much better for the glow glitter.

These are both shown with 2 coats and no top coat.

Lust Have It Box!! September Edition

These are the most fun part of my month.  I love getting mail, and these are so cute!

Lust Have It is a monthly subscription box from Lustre Beauty in Australia.  Each month is $19.99 and you get a tonne of value.

Usually I'm able to do a price comparison... but this time my bag didn't come with a product card.  Its a MYSTERRRRYYYYYY!!!!

EDIT:  They gave me a card!!!  Prices added.

Pink & Gold :)  Looks like a bunch of Model Co swag this time.

Lets get into it!

Urban Skincare Co. Repair + Body Balm
Full Size: $12.95 (100ml).  Sample Size: $4.53 (35ml)

It is one of those super-enriching balms that is designed for really dry skin.  It smells like mandarin leaves and a little like sugar lollies.  Smells AMAZING.  It's not thick like some balms, but its quite light and absorbs easily.

For Free Shipping and 20% off your next (or first) purchase from Urban Skincare Co use the voucher code LHI1.

Uriage Surgras Liquide Dermatologique
Full Size: $34.95 (400ml).  Sample Size: $0.70 (8ml)

I'm gonna go with the tiiiiiny description at the bottom:  It's an extra-rich cleansing gel for sensitive skin.

It has a fresh scent.

The Cosmetic Kitchen Macadamia Wax Creme Highlighter
Full Size: $24.50 (6gm)

From experience with highlighters, they're used on the face and eyes to assist with contouring.  Its a skin tone in the container, but a really shimmery pale frosty beige on the skin.  Smudges out really easily and smells, unsurprisingly, like macadamia nuts.

There was no pricing for this on the website, it appears to be a very new company and the shop is not yet open.

Model Co Facial samples

Double Sided Facial Wipes: 1 wipe.
Full Size: $8 (25 wipes).  Sample: $0.32

Exfoliating Cream Facial Scrub: 2ml
Full Size: $20 (120ml).  Sample: $0.33

Soothing Moisturiser: 2ml
Full Size: $25 (50ml).  Sample: $1

Instant Miracle Booster: 1ml
Full Size: $35 (35ml).  Sample: $1

I'd probably pack these into an overnight bag.  You can go out with a full face of makeup, use the makeup wipe before bed, add some of the moisturiser, and in the morning, use the facial scrub, booster and the rest of the moisturiser.  Or put them into your carry-on luggage when going on a plane ride - they're small enough.

Manicare Glam Express 3-1 nail art pen.
Full Size: $9.99 (5ml + 300 stones + stencils)

I got the pink one in a previous box, and was rather happy to see a silver one.  The pigmentation of the pink was weak - it showed up over white, but not over dark colours.

I had a bit of a play with this, so prepare for image-spam.

Stencils in the box

Pull the cap off for a pen-nib

Unscrew for a full sized brush - not a striper, as you would expect.

Apply stencil to nail.  I found it was quite fragile and brittle.  You can see there are cracks in the plastic from just the application.

Apply the silver polish over the stencil.

I used the pen nib and a rhinestone on my blue polish, and the stencil on the grey.

Model Co Lip Lacquer - Creme Brulee
Full Size $24 (3g)

Nude is THE colour for most seasons.
Usually I'm not a great fan of lip glosses - they're sticky and tend to run & smudge and just blergh.

This one seemed to have decent pigmentation on the hand swatch, and it had the sweet caramel creme scent that goes with the name.

As you can see, it is pretty close to being a sheer nude.

And on my lips.  Please excuse the skin.  You can see that my hair is already sticking to it, and that the colour isn't all that bright.  It's more of a sheer hint of nude.  It dulled down my natural colour quite a bit, and with a nude lipliner under it, it would pop more.

Lasting power:  Its a gloss.  If it had staining properties I would expect it to last a couple hours at the least... this lasted a couple hours at the most.

All in all, I'm loving being a reviewer for Lust Have It.

Total cost for the box is AU$19.99
Final total AU$66.37

Can't wait for the next one!

*** I got sent this for review.  I'm still waiting on my affiliate code, so please hold tight for that.  I didn't pay for it and my opinions are my own.  I would totally buy this though.  It's a pretty damned good service. ***
