OCTOOOOOOBER!!!! Lust Have It!!

We got a pretty cool box this month.

The info sheet was emailed instead of included in the bag.

Does anyone want a post on "Things to do with a million pink mesh bags"?

Atkins Endulge Chocolate Candies.
Full Size: $9 (5 packets).  Sample Size: $1.80 (1 packet)

Looks like m&m's, tastes like m&m's... I'm sold.  Give me more of these.

Flormar Nail Polish
Full Size: $12

It's a pretty bright pink.  2 coats for full coverage, and it dries quite quickly.
I haven't worn it long enough to give it the chip test, and the smell when applying reminds me of dollar store nail polishes - but those ones tend to be the ones that last forever!

Bioderma Sensibio Light
Full Size: $32.99 (40ml).  Sample: $12.37 (15ml)

It has no fragrance and absorbs really fast.  I keep it in my hand bag because I'm guilty of not slapping the moisturiser on straight out of the shower. I think I would've preferred a slightly floral or scented aroma, but that's just me being picky.

Lust Have It Highlighter
Full Size: $29.95 (8gm)

I've never used a highlighter.  I used to use a bronzer, but I think I learnt the error of my ways (applying it heavily with no regard to what I looked like) and decided to leave the bronzing for the nights out.

In that same regard, I don't contour at all.  Adding a highlighter to my non-existent routine isn't really a step I wanted to take.

Mine arrived a little beaten up in the mail - not as bad as the Mellow eyeshadow from a previous box!

A subtle shimmer, very much brings and attracts light to the areas you apply it.  The formula was a little on the chalky side, but it blends out ok on the skin.

Hair & Me Organic Oil Hair Treatment
Full Size: $19.95 (90ml)

This stuff is like a little bag of magic.
I had to put it in the fridge till it reached a creamy consistency (oh, the perils of living in a warm climate) and applied about 4 good palm-fulls to my hair.  My hair is pretty long, so your results will vary.

Bundled my hair on top of my head, waited the length of an episode of American Horror Story, and showered.

It says to wash twice with shampoo, and they really do mean it.  After one pass, it was still pretty oily, and even after two shampoos, my hair (to me, at least) still felt a little weighed down the next day.  It was very shiny and dare I say it, healthy looking!

The formula is pretty much edible - they're all natural oils and it smells like a coconut exploded on your head.  Pair it with a Cosmetic Kitchen Chocolate face mask and you'd smell like a bounty bar!

Pity it can't cure split ends.

Flormar Eyeshadow Quad
Full Size: $30-50 (they didn't list the *actual* product because it could of been one of many many things).

I have hooded lids, so eyeshadows for me are either BOLD and out there, or pretty understated, because at the best of times, you can only see my waterline and just under my brow.

I tried to do a couple of eye looks with this, but the black just overpowered everything.  The white turns translucent and shimmery, but doesn't give enough oomph to pull the heavier colours out of goth territory.

See what I mean about dominating?

Ahhh, the missing Skin Magic tea bags... wait... but there is only one?!

After sending them a quick email, the rest will be in the November box.

With a value of $106.07, this is a pretty nice haul from Lust Have It.

Lust Have It September bag!

Lust have it arrived!

I get these a week or so after of the first of the month, and I give them a month to test and trial all the products before reviewing them.

September's box came!

A fancy black bag for a change!

Bain Force Architecte
Full size: 250ml ($42).  Sample: 30ml ($5.04)
Masque Force Architecte
Full size: 200ml ($62).  Sample: 30ml ($9.30)

These smell like a salon, and make my hair feel amazing.  I can get maybe two uses out of each one.

White Glo Whitening Toothpaste.
Full Size: 150ml ($5.49).  Sample: 24ml ($0.87)

As far as toothpaste goes, it does its job.  It has a slightly baking-soda-y taste, which is common for a whitening toothpaste.  This is a perfect travel size.

I like it.

Ofra Lip Liner - Wine
Full Size: $19.99

Its interesting that we got given two lip products in one box.  This one is a nude lipliner on me, but it matches with most of my other nude/brown lipsticks.

Your Tea Skin Magic Tea
Full size: 60 Tea bags ($35 USD).  Sample: 1 tea bag ($0.58 USD)

We were meant to get 6 tea bags, with one before food twice a day.  I'm going to wait until the other 5 show up before trying them.

UB Cosmetics Tint Stick - V
Full Size: $23

I actually love this product.  I love the applicator (its kinda like a brush, but its like a liner, and its like a felt tip), I love the colour and I love the lasting power.  It lasts at least 4-5 hours on me with minimal wearing.

By itself with one coat of product.  Adding a gloss or balm enhances the colour.

Designer Brands - Twist And Go.
Full Size: $4.99

Another product I'm loving.  It does just what its meant to do.  It takes most polish off in one swipe/twist, and it takes a little longer for glitters and heavy applications.  I haven't tried it on gel polish, but I get the feeling it would work on that too.

Its meant to be berry scented, but I don't smell berries.

The sponge is interesting - its like a zigzag split in the middle of the sponge.

Just a couple swipes to remove metallic polish.  The first swipe got the colour off, and the 2nd/3rd got the residual metallic finish off.

Not overly a fan of the drying of the skin.  This is a common problem with acetone based products.

This was a pretty cool box.  I don't understand the inclusion of two lip products, but I've had a good use of the red lip tint.

Total cost of the box: $19.99.
Total value this month: $63.28

These are very much worth the cost.

Lust Have It - AUGUST!!

Another LHI box!

I really love these little gifts in the mail.

Lust Have It sends them out at the end of each month, and because I'm in New Zealand and they're in Australia, I get them around a week after the Aussies.  I also like to spend a bit of time testing and trying the products (if they're something I'm into) before I post it up.

So even though it's now the middle of October, and the September box only just arrived, I've been able to use some of the stuff in the August box a few times and give it a proper go.

#themoreyouknow.

ANYWAY...

Back to the box!!!

Red Carpet Kolour - Medium
Full Size: 150ml ($49.95)

I've always be interested in body glows.  I've been given a lot of self-tanners, but the idea of being streaky doesn't appeal.

It's meant to give you a subtle shimmer and a glow to bare skin.  I'm loving the effect on my arm.

I haven't used this yet - I'm heading down to Wellington at the start of November, so I'll take it with me and bronze myself up before heading into the city to party the night away!

I like that it has no scent, and that the glitter doesn't really transfer.

Looks like I'll get a lot of use out of this in the warmer months to make my skin a little more dewy and gorgeous!

Reed Orange and Poppy Seed Scrub
Full Size: 150gm ($6.50)

Nice price for the amount given.

I'm a body scrub newbie.  I need someone to give me a tutorial on how to use this stuff.
Can I put it in a mesh bag and rub it on my skin that way?

It smells FANTASTIC though.

Mellow Cosmetics Mineral Auto Twist Liner - Navy
Full Size: $8

I LOVE this liner.  I've been wearing it every weekend since I got it.  I used to wear a turquoise eyeliner when I was at University and I own a bunch of the darker coloured liners, so this Navy blue is a new one to me.

Give me more coloured liners!

Ulta3 Volume and Length Mascara
Full Size: $6.95

Love the packaging.
Love the brush.
Not really in love with the formula.

If the mascara was not quite as clumpy, I'd be more into it.
I've been using it, and I prefer a waterproof formula, but its OK for everyday wear.

Mellow Cosmetics Baked Eyeshadow - Olive
Full Size: $9.50

We had a casualty!

Baked shadows don't like international shipping.  Turns out I'm not the only one with a broken shadow, and I contacted LHI to let them know that it was damaged.  The broken bits and the remainder were corralled into another container so I could keep using it.

I LOVE the colour.  This plus the liner = sexy.

Because its a sheer with a duochrome finish, it really pops over a dark colour, yet blends so well into the skin.  I'm a sucker for a gorgeous eyeshadow.

Happy with the box this month.
Total value: $80.94 AU.
