Lust Have It January box!

Woop Woop!!!

Here we go!

Unani Micellar Water
Full Size: $22.50 (200ml)

Mmmm.  It smells good, like sweet roses.

Doesn't sting or irritate my skin, and gets all the product off in a few quick swipes.  Dries feeling soft and clean on the skin.

One day I'll have to do a comparison between all the micellar waters I've had before!

Hikari Blush - Sunkissed
Full Size: $21

This colour isn't great for me.  It's literally the same colour as my skin, so if I apply it, I only see the shimmer, no real colour.

I will keep it and find a way to use it - maybe as a highlight or as a base for an eyeshadow look.

Hikari Lip Crayon - Amore
Full Size: $18

I love this colour.  I think I just have a thing for a good red lippy.

I wore it with my Ariel costume, and I reapplied whenever it started to feel a little dry.  Lasted most of the day with no issues except when eating/drinking.

Skinyoga Almond Orange Face Scrub
Full Size: $24 (50gm).  Sample: $2.40 (5gm)

It smells interesting!  The texture is lovely and my skin feels so much nicer afterwards.  I like that you start using it as a cleanser, and then you leave it on for 15 minutes before rinsing.

Skinyoga Sandalwood Saffron Face Mask
Full Size $24 (50g).  Sample: $2.40 (5gm)

I haven't used the mask yet.  It has a very earthy scent and if it's anything like the face scrub, it will be really gorgeous.  Not sure if the texture is right because my cork was broken.

All in all, this box was OK.

Only three brands featured instead of the usual 4 or 5.

Total cost of box:  $19.99
Total value of January box:  $66.30

Thanks Lust Have It for another month of makeup!

Lust Have It: December!!

I had been delaying this post because we were missing a hand cream, and told it would arrive in the January box.

Well, Jan box is here, and no hand cream.

So here we go!

Naobay Moisturising Peeling Brightening Facial Milk Scrub
Full Size: $27 (100ml)

Wow, they really tried to cram ALL of the words into this one, didn't they!

Things that say peeling always scare me.  Apparently the "peeling" is because of the lactose in the milk.
I haven't tried it.  I'm scared.

Zeus

Not for sale.  Just for cuddles.

Full Size: $22

We were meant to get either "London" or "Shanghai".  I think I like these colours more!

The bronze and silver have some serious shine to them.

Swatches on bare skin in the order of the quad.

The metallics have a great pop, but the two other colours are a little chalky.

Sorry for the shadow.  I used the four colours.  The brown in the crease, the white as a base, and the metallics in the inner and outer corners.
I also used the chella highlighting stick under the brow.

I tried to use the darker brown colour as a liner by following the directions and putting the tip of my brush into water and then into the shadow, but when it was dry, it had a very pale chalky finish, so didn't really work as intended.

Used a plain black eyeliner instead.

I have very hooded eyes.

Essenzza Fuss Free Naturals
Micellar Mini Wipes
$2.25 (Is this a full size mini or just a sample?  I don't know.)

Micellar water is the "hit craze" in the makeup industry.  It gets your makeup off in one sweep, and it is meant to be gentle on skin.

I've tried two others before, and these wipes just don't like my eyes.  I feel the burn!
They seem to be way wetter and soapier than putting micellar water from a bottle onto a cotton pad.

90% of me LOVES this brand.  10% of me doesn't like that it stings my eyes.

Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil.
Full Size: $24.50

Not sure what it's made from, but it seems very very creamy.  Blends out nicely and doesn't feel sticky.

If you were really pale, it would totally work as a concealer.  If you're into contouring, it would work as a highlight for your contouring.

 Unblended and blended.

Click the image above to get $5 off your first box!  They're pretty good!

Total cost is usually $19.95 a month + shipping.
Without the hand cream, we're looking at $75.75 all up.  Thats a decent investment!

Thanks Lust Have It for providing me with boxes every month.  I'm loving them!

November Lust Have It!

Holy photos, Batman!  It's time (well past time) to post the November Lust Have It!

The December one is due to show up in a couple days, so lets get this good time started!

Some good stuff this month!

Ulta3 Blush Stick - Bold Apricot
Full Size: $6.95

This is a cream to powder blush and despite it saying "bold", it's not overpowering.  It seems a little chalky going on, but it blends out to almost nothing, just a subtle hint of colour.

Left side is smudged/blended out, right side is untouched.

It's very subtle.  I think this was 3 or 4 swipes, blending out each one with my fingers.  I guess you could build it up, but its summer, and lets embrace the non-heavy makeup.  Also, freckles.  I has them.

Evelyn Iona Natural and Organic Concealer - Flawless
Full Size: $19.80 (3g).  Sample: $11.22 (1.7g)

This is a very creamy formula and it pretty perfectly matches my skin colour.  The sample size is small enough that I can throw it into my makeup bag and not worry about carrying a huge pottle around.

Can you even see it?  Its there... somewhere...

Coral Colours Love Lips - Peach Sorbet
Full Size: $6.99

This colour is a bit light on me, its OK but not sure I could wear it on the daily.  It is a little patchy when applied straight from the... bullet?  It's shaped like an EOS balm, which just makes me want to rub it all over my mouth instead of trying to actually get it ON my lips.

It's still a pretty colour though.  I'd need to be a little paler I think to pull it off.

Manna Kadar Liplocked Lippie - XOXO
Full Size: $24

I'm a sucker for a good lip colour.

This one is a hard colour to describe.  In the tube it shows as a dark pink-leaning nude, but on the skin it changes into something more mauve, and on the lips its different again.  Application is great, but it tends to catch on bits that need to be exfoliated, and that is something I haven't done in a while.  Naughty Stacey.

Garnier Miracle Skin Cream
Full Size: $19.99 (50ml).  Sample: $1.99 (5ml)

For a daily moisturiser this isn't too bad.  Its light and goes on without a greasy feel.  It has a very strong scent of floral and is tinted.  The whole thing isn't tinted though, it appears to have little beads of colour in it that burst as you rub it in.  You need to be careful to get it all even or else you'll have streaks.

Also, It has SPF15, which is good for daily skin care, but will cause havoc with flash photography, so plan wisely and maybe change it out for a normal moisturiser if you're going out or know you're gonna be somewhere with flashing lights.

I'd buy this in full size.

BONUS!

Stayfree UltraThins.
Full Size: $4.29.  Not sure how many are in a full pack, I don't use this brand normally.

Personally, I don't understand why companies send samples of sanitary products.  I know they fit the "women" section of the bag, but I would rather have a voucher to go get a product that suits my needs rather than the actual product.  In saying that, most of the vouchers we get are for Australia, and we can't use them here in NZ.

Total value this month:  $51.99

Not bad!

OCTOOOOOOBER!!!! Lust Have It!!

We got a pretty cool box this month.

The info sheet was emailed instead of included in the bag.

Does anyone want a post on "Things to do with a million pink mesh bags"?

Atkins Endulge Chocolate Candies.
Full Size: $9 (5 packets).  Sample Size: $1.80 (1 packet)

Looks like m&m's, tastes like m&m's... I'm sold.  Give me more of these.

Flormar Nail Polish
Full Size: $12

It's a pretty bright pink.  2 coats for full coverage, and it dries quite quickly.
I haven't worn it long enough to give it the chip test, and the smell when applying reminds me of dollar store nail polishes - but those ones tend to be the ones that last forever!

Bioderma Sensibio Light
Full Size: $32.99 (40ml).  Sample: $12.37 (15ml)

It has no fragrance and absorbs really fast.  I keep it in my hand bag because I'm guilty of not slapping the moisturiser on straight out of the shower. I think I would've preferred a slightly floral or scented aroma, but that's just me being picky.

Lust Have It Highlighter
Full Size: $29.95 (8gm)

I've never used a highlighter.  I used to use a bronzer, but I think I learnt the error of my ways (applying it heavily with no regard to what I looked like) and decided to leave the bronzing for the nights out.

In that same regard, I don't contour at all.  Adding a highlighter to my non-existent routine isn't really a step I wanted to take.

Mine arrived a little beaten up in the mail - not as bad as the Mellow eyeshadow from a previous box!

A subtle shimmer, very much brings and attracts light to the areas you apply it.  The formula was a little on the chalky side, but it blends out ok on the skin.

Hair & Me Organic Oil Hair Treatment
Full Size: $19.95 (90ml)

This stuff is like a little bag of magic.
I had to put it in the fridge till it reached a creamy consistency (oh, the perils of living in a warm climate) and applied about 4 good palm-fulls to my hair.  My hair is pretty long, so your results will vary.

Bundled my hair on top of my head, waited the length of an episode of American Horror Story, and showered.

It says to wash twice with shampoo, and they really do mean it.  After one pass, it was still pretty oily, and even after two shampoos, my hair (to me, at least) still felt a little weighed down the next day.  It was very shiny and dare I say it, healthy looking!

The formula is pretty much edible - they're all natural oils and it smells like a coconut exploded on your head.  Pair it with a Cosmetic Kitchen Chocolate face mask and you'd smell like a bounty bar!

Pity it can't cure split ends.

Flormar Eyeshadow Quad
Full Size: $30-50 (they didn't list the *actual* product because it could of been one of many many things).

I have hooded lids, so eyeshadows for me are either BOLD and out there, or pretty understated, because at the best of times, you can only see my waterline and just under my brow.

I tried to do a couple of eye looks with this, but the black just overpowered everything.  The white turns translucent and shimmery, but doesn't give enough oomph to pull the heavier colours out of goth territory.

See what I mean about dominating?

Ahhh, the missing Skin Magic tea bags... wait... but there is only one?!

After sending them a quick email, the rest will be in the November box.

With a value of $106.07, this is a pretty nice haul from Lust Have It.
