Stamping & Crumpets: Happy New Year!

I love being able to combine manis.

This is the last one that I'll be able to post before the massive 31 day challenge.

Happy New Year to all of you out there in blog-land.

Whoa.  Lots of polish went into this one.

L.A. Colors Sassy Sparkle, Jewel Tone, Treasure Island.  L.A. Girl Disco Brites Disco Diva & Funkadelic.  Kleancolor Metallic Black.  Jordana Nails Be Long & QuickShine.
Not photographed: Nail Star Silver (sponged over the tips).

Stamping from BM03, BM202, salon express plate and random fauxnad.
They kinda look like fireworks... right?

So Much Sparkle!   Instead of multiple layers of glitter, I opted to mix the three and apply one coat.

So, the disco brites are meant to glow under blacklight.  Seeing as I don't really *have* a blacklight, just one of those little toy UV ones for the "secret diary" pens, I think these photos turned out OK.  I guess if you were out in a club, you'd have a much better effect.

If you can't make it, FAKE IT!

Dollar store nails sometimes look good :)

Just don't do what I do and stick the wrong nails on the wrong fingers.

And make sure you do them straight.  -_-.

I'll have to cut them down to a more usable length, but for now I can rejoice in long nails.

Crumpets Winter Challenge: Santas & Stamping Adventures: Christmas Trees.

I had to combine two challenges for this one.  I kinda just ran out of time.

Santas and Christmas Trees.  I don't expect this to last long.  I don't have a Christmas tree up, but the one that I do have (the Camellia tree that is about to flower) is green, red, gold and silver.

The base is Kleancolor Disco Ball (4 thin coats that took forever - about half the day- to dry), then Kleancolor white as the stamper colour for the trees, L.A. Colours Nail Art Silver for the santas.  BM 321 and 205 for the trees and BM 214 and 306 for the santas.  Bundle Monster microbeads and rhinestones.  Jordana QuickShine top coat.

Pimping the NZ cosmetics.  This foundation is amazing.

Water colours

So, occasionally I dabble in a bit of painting.

If anyone wants something custom done, let me know.  Prices will vary.

Crumpets Winter Challenge: Reindeer & Sleigh.

Super cute nails today :)

I had a tonne of trouble getting these done.  Humid conditions = polish just does NOT dry.

L.A. Girl Disco colours Retro & Turntable. BM 213 and 214.  Kleancolor Black & Aurora.  Jordana Nails Be Long & QuickShine.  L.A. Colours Nail Art Silver.

Pretty pretty :)

Sorry, only one photo today.

The other hand is the same in reverse.

Summer means Slushies!

And how do you make these amazing slushies?

You pick up a couple tubs from Kmart, and a bottle of Bacardi from your favorite alcohol shop.

Grab your measuring cups, you'll need a 1/2 cup and a whole cup for this one.

Struggle to get the lids off the containers.  Admire your nail polish for a moment.

Kleancolor Black, Maybelline Colorama Pink Pinata, L.A. Colors Color Craze Sassy Sparkle.

Remove the bags of syrup and rinse the tubs out.

Empty the bags into the tubs.

Add 375ml of Rum.

Add 500ml of water.

Stir and put into the freezer overnight.

While waiting for slushie to freeze, admire your little sunflower seeds in their pots.

I love gifts

Stacey is AMAZING.

She gave me a bag of bits.  So excited.

I can't wait to use some of those tips for swatching!

Friends and fun :)

Nail day!

I love when my friends come over and play with my stash.

Check out that stash! (and the furbies!)

Liz & Jojo did their nails and toes, while we watched tv.

Beindulged Pink, OPI Shatter Blue

Taryn came a bit late to the party, but we still had a lot of fun :)

Crumpets Winter Challenge: Decorations

So, apparently I can't read my own handwriting.

I spent hours... HOURS... searching for a duochrome in my stash.  The only ones I have are very subtle vauge ones.

So I put a couple of coats of a white/clear with a purple shift on top of 5 other colours hoping for something special.

Kleancolor Metallic Navy, Metallic Pink, Metallic Yellow, Metallic Purple (on thumbs), Metallic Jungle.  CR 32 (on this hand, CR 21 on the other).

It kinda worked...

Then I re-read it and it said Decorations.

(-_-)

Stamping, here we come!

Kleancolor Black, Kleancolor White, Kleancolor Metallic Red, L. A. Colors Nail Art Silver. BM 225, 223, 318.

Phew!

More awesome decorations below :)

Hair we go!

I was bored and had to do something with my hair.

Considering I'm chopping it off in the new year, I better get all the styles out of it now that I can, right?  The blue is fading itself out nicely, and I'm more than ready for a change.  It's been blue for like, 8 months!
