Day 29: Inspired by another blogger

Jill!

This one is for you.

I scrolled through your posts and chose to steal your purple dottiness.  But I made it my own.

A veritable cacophony of colour.

All CR Colours.  Minis: 8, 10, 12, 15, 16, 22.  CR 57 (full size)

My only gripe with CR is that they're good 2 coaters, but a bit weak as a 1-colour opaque for things like dotting.  They tend to look a little faded out.

Day 28: Favorite Colour

I really should of done this one for the nature one.

I wanted to do something using pink, but I've done something like 8 pink manis this month.

So, my favourite pink (and yellow) rose.
"French Perfume" Tea Rose.

CR mini 15, L.A. Girl Disco Brites Disco Diva, CR Yellow Star Glitter.

I even have a shower poof the same colour.

Tip wear is not too bad, considering I did it last night before bed and wore it all day at work.

Painted Beauties

Friends and nails!

Lisa and Jo needed theirs done for a promo gig they were doing over the weekend.

Lisa wanted something racing themed.

I am totally no good at stamping other peoples nails.  I asked if she wanted to clean them up and she said she'd do it later.

Jo wanted something a little more... slutty.

After browsing pintrest for a while, she found a black and silver mani using chains, and I had that plate!!

Operation Chains commenced!

Had Louise stay with me for a night, and we did the whole attempt to water marble thing.

She is much better at it than I am.

And her galaxy nails.

Day 27: Inspired By Me.

Who am I?

I am furbies, my little pony, ty beanie babies and kites. I am wigs, pink sparkles and holographic shimmer.  I am sweets, chocolate and cupcakes.  I am shoes with wheels and a pile of polishes.  I am a crafter, a scrapper, a stamper and a card maker.

I am a lot of things.

My first water marble attempt.  Not enough pink for my liking.  The Color Club holos dry REALLY fast, which gives the other polish no time to spread.

After redoing it all about 5 times, I managed to get a few nails that I liked.  Then I tried to marble the holos.  You can sorta see it... but not quite.

There is everything in here.  Kleancolor, Color Club, Jordana, Revlon, Rimmel.

Luci-Furr has been shadowing me all day.  So cute.

Day 26: Your Country.

Oooooh.  This one was hard.

Do I do the flag?  The national colours? or something else?

I went with something else.

Paua!  Our national shell-fish I guess.  Abalone for other countries.  We use it for everything from fritters to jewelery.  Paua Pearls are sought after and fetch a pretty penny.

Revlon for the base, but it has no name that I can see.
Google tells me that it is Over The Moon, but because that duo has this lovely teal blue and a shimmery pink, I'm not sure which is which.
Kleancolor White, Maybelline Colorama Pink Pinata.

Day 25: Childhood

I was a pure 80s kid.

Born in 85, I wore neons until I was about 10.

Kleancolor Neon Pink, Neon Orange, Neon Aqua, Neon Amethyst.
CR Mini green (18 I think from memory), Kleancolor Black & White.
BM plate.

I need a new Kleancolor Black.  Mine is a leeeeettle too thick now and doesn't stamp awesomely anymore.

Pretty!

Day 24: Gaming

Gaming!

Whats better than curling up on the couch with your lover and kicking his butt a few times in Tekken?  NOTHING!!!

Or in my case, forcing him to play Harry Potter Lego.

My gaming nails for today

Kleancolor Black & White, Jordana Pop Art Define In Green, Picture Perfect Pink, Red Illustration, Express In Yellow, Blue Abstract.  Everything is freehanded.

Thumb: Xbox main button
Pointer: PS2 controller icons
Middle: PS2 Logo
Ring: Achievement Hunter Logo from Rooster Teeth
Pinkie: Apple Logo.

Yes.  Apple.  I have an iPod Touch for gaming while I'm out.  Most played game:  Solitaire.  Yep.  Of all the games you can purchase, download, play etc... I play Solitaire.

Day 23: Nature

I am going to redo this challenge.  In fact, once I've got a day spare, I'm going to recreate this one.

The premise was this:  A clear blue sky, dark green foliage and bright colourful flowers.

It didn't work as planned.

Maybelline Colorama Glass Slipper, Orly Meet Me Under The Mistletoe mixed with Jordana Pop Art Define In Green, Creative With Orange & Red Illustration.  Mash 50 and BM 12.

For some reason, the colorama worked amazingly for the merge, but it didn't like being a single coat on the nail.  I did 2 coats on each nail, and ruined two of them overnight.  I repainted them in the morning, and before I even made it to the bus, I had ruined those two.  So I gave up.

Define In Green wasn't bold enough, MMUTM doesn't stamp so I had to mix them together, which was a pain, Red Illustration is too sheer and Creative With Orange just clashed with the blue and green.

*sigh*.

Day 22: Fabric

I never got to use my MASH sets for the winter challenge (holiday jumpers) so I thought I'd do tartan in honour of all the kids going back to school this year (uniforms and whatnot).

My new Orly mini Meet Me Under The Mistletoe arrived in the mail too.
Retail is $12 a bottle, I paid $5.50 including shipping.

Meet Me Under The Mistletoe stamped with MASH 50 and Color Club Perfect Mol-Ten.

Such a pretty dark gelly glitter green.  Does that make sense?  Its almost a duochrome, it seems teal in some lights and forest green in others.

Mustache bandaid because I broke myself.

Day 21: Merge or Melt

I love this.

I just grabbed two polishes (the two that caught my eye because I hadn't used or swatched them yet) and turned them into a really pretty merge!

Maybelline Colorama Glass Slipper & Orange Spritzer.

Dotting tool to swirl.

I had no idea it would be this pretty.

This is two coats - first one swirled, then the 2nd one swirled.

These are on my 6-days-of-wear-just-glued-on-with-nothing-special fake nails.

Acrylics

I have a whole bunch of stuff to do acrylics.  I used to dabble in it myself, and I've done one set before on someone else.

I'm not a professional, and I don't expect my own sets to last longer than a few days, so I don't expect them to last on anyone else either.

They're not bad.  I think I stuck the tips on a little too far down her nails, but she likes them.  They're not super shiny because I don't have one of those awesome top coats that resists acetone.

I think these will last maybe a week?

I can see where I went wrong on some of them, just looking at the photos.

Ahh well.  They were fun to do regardless.

DISCLAIMER:  I'm not a professional, and these were not paid for.  I was bored and Liz wanted long nails.

Day 20: Texture

Texture!

Glitter bombing!

Color Club  Lumin-Icent, Harp On It as accent.
Kleancolor Disco Ball (larger purple and blue glitter),
L.A. Colors Jewel Tone & Treasure Trove.

You can't really see it, but the accent finger has the holo glow.  You can sorta see the rainbow shift through the glitter.

Day 19: Favorite Polish

Favorite polish?  I have too many.  So I picked a favorite colour.

I just got the Color Club Foiled and Halo Hues sets, so I have to use them.  They are totally my favorite polishes at the moment.  They stamp wonderfully, and have full coverage after 1 coat.

Color Club Halo-Graphic & Hot Like Lava

Holographic stamping and accent nail.  Its a bundle monster image, but I used the mash plates.

Pretty!
