LHI August Birthday box!!

I've been very late with this box.
My month filled up so quickly!

This is the Lust Have It August Beauty Box, and unfortunately it is also the last in the affiliate program.

This flatlay will just NOT rotate, no matter what I do with it.

It's their birthday!

The Cosmetic Kitchen Raw Cacao Bath Salts
Full Size: $24.95

I've had these before and they are pretty awesome.  If you have the face mask and the foot mask, make them both up and while those do their magic, run your bath.  By the time the masks are ready to wash off, you can soak in even MORE chocolate!

OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick - Mocha
Full Size: $27

Try saying that 10 times fast!

It's a moisturing lipstick with a matt finish.  It's not gonna hold through eating or drinking though.  Make sure that you are able to apply it throughout the day if you're going out for a lunch or dinner date.

Manna Kadar Radiance split pan bronzer and highlight
Full Size: $28

It is very sparkly!  I'm not a huge contourer, so I will probably use this as an eyeshadow duo.

GOSH Mineral Pigments - Pink Melon
Full Size: $14

This is an interesting pigment.  It looks pink in the jar, and pink on the skin, but it has a very orange flash.
It is very sheer though.  I need to experiment with using this wet.

This is what I mean by pink and orange... it has a pink/orange thing going for it.

Baimeni Eye & Face Serum.
Full Size: $42 (30ml).  Sample: $3.57 (3ml)

This was listed as being a full size item on the info sheet, with a value of $25, so I have NO idea what actually happened between the info card being printed and the box being shipped.  I'm not really sure what it is, or how to use it.  It's not a hell of a lot of oil - even the body shop oil of life is twice the size, and that's only 7ml.

There was meant to be bonus "affiliate" gift, but it was missed out.  I kinda wish that it was there!

Cost of the Box: $19.95 AU
Value of this box: $97.52.

It claimed to be "OVER $100 value" but mine just falls short.  I'm not unhappy with it.

Click on the image to get your first box $10 off.  It's pretty good value!

I had a lot of fun with this affiliate program and got to experience a tonne of new products that I would of never seen before!

Thanks so much for letting me be part of it for the last 2 years!

Lust Have It JULLLLLLLYYYY!!!

I love getting boxes like this one - a full face of makeup!

Lets start with the face.  Because it's actually not too bad looking!

Eyeshadow, mascara, blush and lipstick all came from this bag.  The base was a Za powder.

The brush on the mascara was a little hard for me to work with personally, so it went on the lash line, and I tried to hide it with a smudge of the darker purple from the eyeshadow duo.  Didn't really work.

I like the blue mascara though!

(Gosh my nose looks huge in these photos!)

Onto the products!

GOSH Matt Duo Eyeshadow - 008 Dusty Purple
Full Size: $14.99

It's a pretty duo.  It's a little chalky but the colour payoff is ok.  I haven't tried it wet, but it might improve the colour intensity.

MPrincess Mineral Blush - Peach Fuzz
Full Size: $15.45 (1.2g)

Orange blush?  Shimmery orange blush?!

It's not too bad!

The shimmer acts as a nice highlight, and the orange actually blends out quite nicely to a pinkish finish.    On my hand I have it blended out (on the left) and applied roughly with my finger (on the right).

If you threw it over a base, it would make a great eyeshadow.

Teeez Cosmetics Desert Metals Mascara - Sapphire Nights
Full Size: $32.50

I've never used a coloured mascara before, so this intrigued me.  It's dark enough that I can totally get away with wearing it on a normal day-to-day basis.  It would look amazing with they grey-blue eyeliner from the previous box.

Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush - Marshmellow Pink
Full Size: $15

A cool leaning blue-based pink.  Not really my colour - I think it looks a little too barbie on me.
It claims to be a stain, but it doesn't stain nearly as much as the other JPP lip blush that I got a while back.

I think if I was to sheer it out a little, or wear something darker mixed with it, I could pull it off a little better.

Essenzza Face Mask
Full Size: $4.99

This brand is amazing.  I love their wipes, I love their masks, and this one has a mask pattern printed on it, so you don't look quite as weird sitting there with a sheet of paper on your face.

I tend to collect these up and save them for pamper nights with the girls, or the day after a big night out.

Total cost for the box: $19.95 Australian money.
Total value of this box: $82.93.

Considering I'll use every product, this is a great box.

LUST HAVE IT!!! Feb box

The February box has been pretty good!

We have a good mix of things in here!

Be A Bombshell Mascara
Full Size: $21

Nothing wrong with a basic black mascara.  This one has a volumising formula, which is good if you have thin lashes. The brush helps to distribute product onto all the lashes, and it builds up nicely.

One eye with mascara, one eye without mascara.

My brows just can't be tamed.

Used the Unani Micellar water from a previous box to remove it - I love how cleanly it comes off with one pass.

Mellow Matte Lipstick - Candy Floss
Full Size: $18

I wore this a couple times when I was going out.  I'm loving the bright barbie pink and love that it's more cool-toned.

Got a bunch of compliments while I was wearing it.

I expect a matte product to set with a more matte finish than this gives.  It has a semi-matte appearance to me, and isn't transfer-proof like I expect matte lipsticks to be.

It is a really pretty colour though.

Lanolips Everyday Hand Balm
Full size: $22.95 (50ml)

Gorgeous product.  I love the smell, I love the texture, I love the absorption... there is something about lanolin being so close to human oils that just makes it really effective.

The rose scent is a little strong though - I put it on next to a workmate and she started sneezing because of the smell.

(No bottle shot?  I left it in a friends car before I got the chance to take photos.  As soon as I get it back, I'll update with a bottle shot!)

The Body Shop Oils of Life Facial Oil
Full size: $54.95 (30ml).  Sample: $12.83 (7ml)

How do you use this?  I put a couple drops into my fingers and dotted it over my face and neck, but it just felt.... weird.  Greasy, oily and shiny.  I tried to rub it in but I just wasn't feeling it.

It smells good though - very soothing and calming.  I think it's the camellia and rosehip.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream
Full Size: $24.95 (50ml).  Sample: $7.49 (15ml)

Ahhh, a cream I can get behind.  It smells good, it feels good, a little goes a long way...
It absorbed quickly into my skin and left it feeling soft.  Does what it says on the container, so happy with it.

The Body Shop Italian Summer Fig Eau De Toilette
Full Size: $36.95 (50ml).  Sample: $1.11 (1.5ml)

This could go either way.

It smells exactly like figs - which is good if you are really into figs.
By itself, its ok.  Doesn't overpower, fades out nicely, has a light finish.
Just don't combine it with ANYTHING else.

I tried it with the Lanolips hand cream and I smelt like an old lady.
I tried it with a honey based hand cream and it was just too sickly sweet.

I wonder if moving the perfume to the neck and leaving the lotion on the hands would make a difference, but I think the fig would be too close to my nose and I'd end up hating it.

Still on the fence about this.

Garnier Fructis Full and Luscious Shampoo & Conditioner
Full Size: $5.95 (250ml).  Sample: 10ml ($0.23)

The only good use of foil packets like these is to put them into a travel bag.  They're good for an weekend trip somewhere or taking in your handbag if you know you're not going to be home for a few days.

Total cost of the box:  $19.95.
Total value this month:  $83.84

Totally worth it.
